ATLANTA – Catering to the needs of wheat-sensitive shoppers, Home Depot will be offering gluten-free tools beginning in Q1 of 2020.
“Our new GF line of tools will have the same capabilities and performance of our original products, with identical features and specs,” said store manager Jeff Trigo. “But now, they will be 100 percent gluten-free, bearing a clearly-marked “GF” logo so you know they’re safe. Initially, we’ll be offering the new gluten-free tools under our Husky and HDX brands in addition to RIDGID, RYOBI, and Milwaukee. We’re working with more manufacturers to get them to offer more of their power and hand tools in gluten-free versions as well.”
The new tools will bear a “GF” badge, letting consumers know that the tools are gluten-free. When asked whether Home Depot will be offering any gluten-free snacks in their last-minute checkout locations, the company declined to comment.
